Caeser Pink's multimedia performances are a mix of music, performance art, video projections, dance, poetry, and theatre. They feature ten to thirteen onstage performers, plus technical crew. The productions engage filmmakers, choreographers, costume designers, lighting and sound designers, and a rotating cast of instrumentalists, singers, and dancers.
The presentations are built from interchangeable blocks. Each block consists of threee to five songs, interludes, musical pieces, or stage sketches. Each has a theme and a story arc in itself. The block are then used to build a larger overarching presentation with its own narrative and emotional journey. The complete presentations range from 60-minutes to two and a half hours in length.
Since 1994 Pink has presented nearly one-hundred performances and approximately a dozen separate presentations. The venues have ranged from theaters to music clubs, including legendary New York City venues such as CBGBs, CB's Art Gallery, The Spiral Lounge, The Living Theatre, Coney Island High, and Webster's Hall (aka The Ritz).
Dominant themes include: the search for spiritual meaning within the modern world, social/political critique, romance and personal longing, sexual liberation, and the celebration of life.
